Ko te tamaiti te pūtake o te kaupapa

At Relate Services, children are at the heart

and centre of everything we do.

We exist to ensure the oranga of

all tamariki (children), whānau (families)

and hāpori (communities), sustained by strong connections and a true sense of belonging.

Our Services

At Relate Services, we work alongside tamariki and whānau to support their oranga — their wellbeing. We understand that many children and families have experienced adversity, and that healing is relational, cultural, and deeply personal.

Our services are designed to strengthen connection, support healing, and empower tamariki and whānau to flourish. Every aspect of our work is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, guided by a rights-based approach, and enriched by te ao Māori. We bring together the best of neurodevelopmental thinking, trauma-informed care, and real-world experience to offer practical, compassionate, and culturally responsive support.

This is just the beginning. As we grow, we’ll continue expanding our services to better meet the needs of tamariki, whānau, and those who support them. Keep an eye on this space — or get in touch to kōrero about how we can help.

Trauma-Informed Assessments and Support

We offer comprehensive assessments and therapeutic support for tamariki and whānau using a neurodevelopmental lens.

What we do:

  • We assess a child’s developmental functioning, relational and cultural needs, and strengths across key domains. Our assessments are holistic, comprehensive and tailored to each child and whānau. We provide recommendations that are practical and strengths-based to support tamariki and whānau to thrive.

  • We work with the child, their whānau and the professionals supporting them to understand the child's strengths and needs. We support the child's therapeutic web to implement our recommendations.

Who this is for:

  • These services are ideal for tamariki experiencing behavioural, relational, or emotional challenges; whānau navigating complex systems; or professionals seeking deeper understanding to inform care and support planning.
